Is Spring really getting ready to spring?
The Time Change is coming up, true, and it is staying daylight longer, but where is the warmth of Spring? The birds are seriously saying its Spring. They are building nests as quickly as they can and scavenging for nest materials fiercely. There was even a fight between a robin and a sparrow over a small twig. The ruckus they put up over the twig was loud, intense, and serious. The little sparrow won, mostly because the mate continuously dive-bombed the robin giving the twig wielding sparrow a chance to escape.
I’m sure I don’t have to point out the wild temperature changes lately. One day here in Lexington it was 64 degrees (Fahrenheit) and the next day it was 30. Yeah, my arthritis has been going crazy! Still, I’m pushing through and the physical therapy and occupational therapy are helping me work through the madness of the weather.
In my writing world I’ve made an executive decision: I am going to change the format and put the first draft in the format it needs to be for Kindle publication. At first I thought this was a silly thing to consider, but since writing in the format – justified with a prescribed indent – it has helped the writing just jump!
Currently there are two beginnings to the novel. I haven’t heard anything from my alpha readers on which one is the better beginning. This is making me think a third opening may be called for. It is so difficult to be patient when it comes to writing! While I’m waiting on what the readers have to say, just going on with the story itself. Momentum is important and I don’t want to lose any if at all possible.
Back to it. Hope everyone is having an awesome Wednesday!
