I don’t know what it was about the last one, but it made me unhappy. It just wasn’t “right” for this blog, and for me, so I am changing it earlier than the week I try to leave them up to get a feel for them. This one is “Flounder” and feels pretty good. So far.
Monday I actually made it out of the apartment and into the world. I made it all the way to Barnes & Noble here in Lexington where I was able to roam stacks, drink Starbucks coffee, eat sweets (only a sugar cookie), and write some before meeting with my best friend Sniffles for some girl talk and then the writers’ group meeting, complete with a new person. We will call her – Songbird.
Right after my excursion into the real world the snow came and, although I am not trapped in the apartment, I prefer to stay inside where it is warm with my dogs, the Xbox, the computer(s), and television.
The novelty of the snow hasn’t worn off either. I am still enjoying how it looks. Willie is also enjoying his first accumulation of snow. I wish we could just let him run wild in it for a time, but this would mean taking him to Cheyenne and Sniffles’ house and this just feels like too much of a bother right now. Maybe this weekend.
